Governor Deal observes Film Day at the State Capitol

ATLANTA — Governor Nathan Deal recognized the film industry's economic impact on the state of Georgia by observing Film Day on Wednesday, March 15 at the State Capitol. Georgia-based productions generated more than $7 billion in economic impact during the 2016 fiscal year alone.

Deal described Georgia's booming film industry as a "significant piece of the reason why Georgia has been named the number one state in the nation in which to do business for four consecutive years."

House Speaker David Ralston echoed Deal's words of support.

“I am excited by the success of this industry,” Ralston said. “As long as I sit in that office, there will be no bigger fan of that tax credit and this industry than I am.”
