Incorporating filming into our community has the potential to create and sustain jobs within the creative economy as well as other economic opportunities for individuals and small businesses!
In 2015 alone, film and television productions in Georgia generated an economic impact of $6 billion across the state. Georgia is currently the third largest filming market in the US and the fifth internationally. The film industry presents an opportunity for Dahlonega-Lumpkin County to promote the region's unique assets and build the region's creative economy.
