Snowball Fight in Hancock Park

Hundreds of locals answered the call for “background artists” to play townspeople in the Hallmark film "Christmas in Homestead," which has now wrapped up three weeks of filming in Dahlonega. Last Wednesday these background artists dressed in winter coats, scarves and hats and waited patiently until the near midnight filming of a “snowball” fight in Hancock Park. Many stayed until after 4 AM to mingle in the park among “snow” drifts and lighted reindeer for a skating rink scene - on a rink that had disappeared, along with the snow and reindeer, by the next day.

Ivy Spraker and Neva Garrett recruited and coordinated assignments for the extras.
